Nawiri

Our Work

NAWIRI advances the rights, health, and well-being of adolescent girls and women through integrated, community-led programs that address the root causes of inequality while expanding access to life-changing information, services, and opportunities.

Our work is governed by 3 pillars: Health and bodily autonomy, Healing and well-being, and Safety, dignity, and justice.

Health & Bodily Autonomy

Everyone has the right to make informed decisions about their body and health.

We empower girls and women to make informed decisions about their bodies and futures by expanding access to comprehensive, rights-based sexual and reproductive health information and services.

Healing & Well-being

Healing is essential to achieving health, dignity, and opportunity.

We promote healing, resilience, and emotional well-being by integrating mental health into community health programming and creating safe spaces where girls and women can access support without fear of stigma.

Dignity, Safety & Justice

Girls and women deserve to live free from violence, discrimination, and fear.

We work to prevent gender-based violence, support survivors, and challenge the harmful social norms that perpetuate discrimination and inequality.

How We Create Change

Research & Evidence

We generate, translate, and use evidence to inform our programs, influence policy, and strengthen advocacy.

Advocacy & Systems Change

We work with communities, youth leaders, civil society, and governments to advocate for laws and policies that protect and advance rights.

Technology & Digital Innovation

We harness technology to expand access to information, services, and support through platforms like the Senje Network.

Youth Leadership and Movement Building

We invest in leadership development, mentorship, and civic engagement to equip young leaders to advocate for their rights.
